I love my planters. Was surprisingly easy to assemble. All the holes matched with the legs. The nuts, bolts, and wrench are in a nice, reusable zipped pouch, great for storing extras. Extra nuts, bolts, and bottom slats are included, which was unexpected. Red cedar stain was ready to work with. I painted the exterior surfaces of the box and the slates that face the dirt figuring they would see the most moisture. It took two days to paint. I did one coat reach day using the box the planter came in as my paint booth. Assembly was simple, took me about 45 minutes to assemble. I initially purchased two of the 48” planters to place on our patio, with the intention of filling them with soil and adding plants. However, once assembled, they made the perfect staging area for a number of potted plants we already had. YOU NEED THIS - AWESOME! Did not think I needed a fourth cover but I was wrong. Great protection from cool temperatures, rain & wind. All plants were started from seeds indoors - way too many seeds germinated. I was able to start leaving the plants outside under the covers without any damage, temperature permitting. I bought four of these then two more then four more so now I have ten of them. I plan to use two of them for mushrooms and the rest for garden vegetables. We live near a forest and there are also trees nearby so we have problems with deer, rabbits, squirrels, voles, moles, rats, and mice. The cedar planters take care of all the problems except squirrels that sometimes dig in the garden. Also they prevent roots from coming into the garden beds from the bottom. Love the ease of putting the cedar planter together. I'm not including a picture, too early in the season. Just have it outside with dirt in it. No plants yet. I was looking for a raised planter that was made of quality materials and would withstand outdoor elements. After research Cedar Planters easily became my first choice. I purchased 5 planter boxes last fall and we finally got them put together a couple of months ago. I also purchased the feet more recently. Today, we finally planted our tomatoes, berries and flowers. We sealed the boxes and adjusted the legs because it was placed on a sloped area that we terraced specifically for the boxes. These planters are gorgeous! The cedar smell, quality of the packaging of all the materials is just the start! The assembly was easy, the directions were understandable and helpful. Since I bought two, the second one came together faster. Tip, use a socket wrench to help tighten the bolts, the Allen wrench provided does a fine job if you don’t have a socket wrench. Absolutely love these raised planter boxes. They fit perfectly below our deck, just need a couple of stepping stones for my bare feet. Previously my herb "garden" was multiple individual pots and now most herbs are in these two planters at waist height for easy-on-the-back gardening.
