I've wanted a pair of these since childhood because of "The Sandlot". Now I have a 3 year old son and he's been obsessed with baseball and that movie lately. I have to say I was totally surprised by the high quality of build and the leather is super nice! Just got these this week so not a lot of real world use experience as of yet. What I can say is that these are true to size for me as size 10 men’s and the shoe feels substantial. I had them out in wet weather today and the rubber sole seemed to grip well even when wet. First off, they look fantastic. I’ve gotten so many compliments on them. There is just enough detail between the color and toe cap that with simple outfits they become a focal point, and with busier outfits, they aren’t at all overpowering. The quality of these is noticeably higher than Chuck 70s. The 12oz canvas is very sturdy, and the insole and cushioned midsole make these so comfortable. For my birthday last May, I wanted these flyers because I wore them as a kid in Queens in the '60's. I was told to check back in January, which I did but was told that they weren't restocked.
