This kit arrived quickly. It was exactly as shown with the sweet Tilda fabrics. Beautifully labeled and easy to follow. I look forward to completing this quilt with the easy to follow instructions. This will be my first quilt with the half-rectangle-triangle units. I actually bought two butterfly quilt kits. Because I wanted my quilt to be bigger for a queen size bed. I have the wings started. I also wanted to be able to make a table runner out of the kit. I’m not a fan of yellow, even though the yellow and golden colors are pretty. I plan on sewing those together in a table runny for a friend of mine who loves sunflowers and use the rest of the quilt for a bed for me then the butterflies would be the pinks and blues and greens.

My only problem is since purchasing the kit, you have not made the backing available for purchase I wanted the cotton blue or white background for the backing and none of the colors are available. So now I have to drive to a quilt shop some distance to get backing.

Although the picture I'm sharing is not of the chicken quilt it is also from MFA. My experiences wih MFA have been amazing. I am enjoying making this quilt top. Since it is precut I was able to start it the same day I recieved it. Beautiful colors and easy to follow directions. The fabric is very nice quality. However, be careful you don't make a mistake since the extra fabric is only 1 piece of each precut piece. They could of been more generous with their extra fabric. I would not recommend this quilt for a beginner since there are so many points. Definitely use a 1/4 inch sewing foot.
