I have never owned skates this nice, so I don't have much to compare them with, but the quality is impressive, the design is amazing, and over all, the Quadstar Carbons are just COOL. I am having a blast learning to skate again after 4 reconstructive surgeries recovering from a terrible motorcycle accident a year ago where my right foot was shattered. Tried out my skates yesterday. They are so much lighter and roll better than my Moxi rainbow skates I’ve been using. The heat mold system works great. These feel like I have sneakers on and feel great. I’m very pleased with these skates so far.

These ROYAL ASSASSIN wheels were so much better than I thought, I am finding excuses to go for a roll... They are SO understated in the description. I am very very happy I found Bont skates. I tried one other brand, Chaya, before I found these, and had to return them. One thing that really stood out was the shape of their boot, and that it was really based on a human foot shape. This was a big difference from the other one I tried, which did not fit my foot at all. That shape did not have a place for a big toe at all.

Copped these converted Bauer XLP’s a few months ago but didn’t like the heavy Ventro outdoor wheels. When the skates first arrived, it took me like 10 minutes to fit my feet into them but it's gotten a lot easier since breaking them in more. I ended up wearing it differently than shown to better cover more of my arch as that’s where I was getting blisters. I’ve been skating for 30 years (inline speed), but I took a break and the skin on my feet changed a bit with age during that period. I’ve been back into skating but found that my skin wasn’t as tolerant as before. This product worked perfectly for me. I would highly recommend it.

I wasn’t expecting to experience such a dramatic difference when I purchased this wheel. I’ve been skating Zombies for years and love them, but I have a new love now! The “hype” about high-end urethane must be real. Super smooth, grippy, great read of the floor. 96A is perfect for rink floors, perfect balance of grip and slide when powering through turns…..and not to mention their great looks and presence. Very excited for my first pair of derby skates. Star was super helpful with my order and shipped it out very quickly. One minor frustration is that I was missing one of the axel nuts upon arrival and had to hunt down a replacement separately. Absolutely the best wheels I have ever ridden. The aluminum hubs provide outstanding control. The soft inner urethane allows for smooth landings when jumps are required. I bought a second set, and will probably buy a 3rd. I'm very dissapointed if these wkll really be discontinued. I'd be more than happy to pay full price for these... they're really that good.
Regarding spacers: I had a set of 10.10mm spacers, and found my wheels to be most efficient with the 10.20mm spacers recommended by Bont.

If you are rolling larger wheels (68mm and 70mm), those wheels are going to need a place to hang out when you are not using them. This is the bag. I have looked around, and a 150mm x 150mm x 105 mm bag is not that easy to find. Granted, the Royal Assassin wheel box is sturdy and a very good place to store your wheels,... Until the box blows out. This bag IS the way to go.

It was very exciting to see the Royal Assassin Wheels on the website in 96A, 68 x 44 mm, in the colors of Purple and Silver with UV. (So Cool!). I also added a set of Bont 608 Ceramic bearings. The combination of the two gave me a runout of over two (2) minutes several times. They are going to be great for cursing. I can't wait... And it's Scott Corey Urathane, it can't get much better.
