Ordered 2 to test. Arrived 10 days after ordering. Very, very well packed to prevent damag. Literally 10 min to hang in place. Used the remote to set the max open and max close. Paired with an Aeotec Smart Things hub, which is not needed, but wanted to set automatic open and close at dawn and sunset. Z-wave is the way to go. Too many IOT devices! This connected (included) into our network first time and worked perfectly. Love the texture of the grey which matches our granite very well. This Apple Home user loves these blinds. I did have a brand that I purchased from IKEA. The color I purchased was very smiliar but the customizable options were amazing and well worth the cost! I ordered 7 different styles of room darkening with solar panel motorized blinds. Love the solar panel and works without a ton of direct sunlight. I did a lot of research and installation was easy. The smartwing shade is the upper shade. Its purpose is to block the strong sun in the morning. Today is even cloudy but the shade is working well. Color is slightly different than my existing shade so my suggestion is they add a few more "off white" tones. We live in SC and the summer sun makes our Carolina room just too hot. We wanted shades to mount outside the windows so they block the heat before it even hits the windows. Have been very happy with the Smartwings roller shade that we got for our large kitchen window. This was part of a complete kitchen overhaul and this window is so large that early morning light is very bright. The 50% sun block shade was not only the perfect solution, we picked a color that complimented the kitchen very well. It will spend 90% of the time in the up position, but is very nice to have down at various positions when needed, or when looks nice (1/2 way down at night for example)....
