I turned a cream hat i wasn't wearing into a cool grey colour. As the material was more porous had to add a second coat. Looks great now.

Easy to apply and great coverage. The colour is absolutely true to the paint colour in the bottle. I now have 4 lovely orange dining chairs - very happy.

The paint went on smoothly and even, gave a really nice dark blue/navy finish. Very pleased with the finished result - x2 Lampshades.

Coverage was excellent the colour was true to the picture and it did not make the fabric stiff. Very pleased, have ordered another colour

I have a dark blue jacket (it cost £175 5 years ago) which was badly faded across the shoulders and the front. I painted it, using Fabricoat dark blue paint and was quite impressed by the results. The paint gave a good coverage of the same colour whether it was a faded area or a dark area. I only had to touch up on a few places. I found that the paint did stiffen up the cotton material a little but not something that I was going to worry about. Well done Fabricoat.

Painted 2 bar stools. They where in grey velvet, quite a thick nap. Required 4 coats to get a reasonable finish. Overall a good alternative to stripping and sewing new covers, which then would need upholstering, with the right equipment. I would expect on a thinner and flatter fabric less coats would be required.

I bought a car with grease on the door cards, Fabricoat was able to cover the grease, and was an exact match for the plastic trim

I was dying pale grey trainers with a fabric material. Paint thicker than anticipated but coverage seems good. the shoes had vinyl trimmings which, unsurprisingly, have a very streaky finish so I've to buy an acrillyc or oil paint to complete the finish. But I'm plwased with the result.

Went on very easy, had to use two coats as the fabric was velvet. It looks great the colour is really good but it feels a little rough to touch even though I brushed it as instructed. I’m sure it would be perfect on a flat material like linen, but I’m still very pleased with how it looks.

In theory this was a great idea - in practise it didn’t work as I didn’t read the fine print. “Fabric must be absorbent” - which my chairs, probably coated with fire retardants, were not. Hence, the colour didn’t stick, and I’m back to getting them reupholstered entirely. Great fun and great to work with - but read the fine print.

I have already shared it. My fabricate smeared because of inadequate advice on yr site for beginners. You need to make it clear that after the first dampening, it is not necessary to dampen the material again for any subsequent coat!

Really enjoyed using the brush as it's soft and applies the paint effortlessly. The angle helped with getting into little books and crannies. However, I painted a large three seater sofa which took a little more time with this brush, so used a larger 15cm brush which helped to get the job done quicker for larger areas. Would still highly recommend for smaller projects.

I found that the white fabric paint did not cover well and was quite runny. Other colours are better. I tried to paint faded red strips on fabric curtains and following the instructions using dampness this caused the paint to track where I didn’t want it to go. So in essence only use this for a solid colour change away from other fabrics and expect to need to do several coats.

I used the dark green Fabricoat to darken the colour of a large headboard and an ottoman. I started with the headboard, following all the instructions provided but the fabric turned out quite patchy. There are some areas that are 'crispy' despite using the soft bristled brush. On the other hand, the ottoman turned out really well with no crispy bits at all. The only difference between applications of both items, was that I sprayed water on the headboard before starting. As it happens, I forgot t...

I did really like this product but should have ordered more. I used it on 2 lampshades and as they were very thirsty it’s ended up a little streaky. As soon as the building work finishes I will buy more. The lamps have improved 1,000 % as the colour is divine.

Easy to apply once surface is damp. The brushing is a must after painting to prevent patchy cover. Two coats on a lamp shade looks great.

Pretty easy to apply and even easier if fabric gets wet before use. Quite a lot of yellow in this green and very noticeable with only 1 coat, however, love the colour after 3 coats. I am revamping an armchair and its footstool and you do need a lot of paint and it is expensive

The colour is great but it is patchy. l followed the instructions but possibly my fault. Also bought the recommended amount for a lamp shade but have so so much left so wasted some money there. Maybe the website should state the size of the lamp for the amount of paint needed...

Covered my window seat great, material is a bit rough now that it’s dried but that could be the way that I applied it.

Love the colour its absolutely beautiful and so rich. Painted a foot stool that was a soft suede. Its quite stiff afterwards but as its only a footstool its not the end of the world. Love the colour and it suits my living room well so I am happy.

I used this for the seat pads of six dining chairs which had seen better days and were still stained after cleaning. The paint went on easily with a brush but soaked in a lot so they really needed three coats rather than the two I managed before running out of paint. The colour was exactly as described. If you touch the dry fabric, it does feel slightly stiff now. Nevertheless, it’s still a great and easy way to revamp your upholstery and I would use Fabricoat again.

Loved the product but disappointed with coverage. Used 500ml on a very small bedroom chair that had been recovered in cream linen previously. It looked good once finished but has dried patchy and I have had to order another bottle to redo. A lot of the reviews mention ordering more for a second coat….
