This worked well but fair warning; it's not a doddle, the rivets take some serious driving to remove and you will want a quality m6x1.0 tap and tap handle to cut the new threads, also a 5mm and 6mm drill bit in drill press. Important to have a good centered punch mark on the rivet heads before you start drilling. I supported the clutch basket on long impact sockets on a heavy iron bench to drive the rivets out. This is my 1978 CB750F that I have owned for close to 30 years. It was the first motorcycle that I ever owned.
It has the original paint on the tank, side covers and tail section. The complete exhaust is also the original on the motorcycle. Last winter I took it completely apart and did a gentle restoration on it. Since I'm just a caretaker of all my Cb750s any time I replace a part on it I put the old part in a bin and keep it so that they can be passed on to the next person.

I know I don’t have the best photos, but I ordered 4 carb kits, a shifter, chrome shocks, reflectors, an air filter box gasket, and I’m probably forgetting some things. I haven’t finished the carbs yet, but everything else has been wicked quality. Everything fits as it should and makes the bike look that much better.
