Loved doing this bag although it took me a very long time. I haven’t crocheted since I was at primary school over 50 years ago. I found it difficult to begin with to hold the crochet hook properly and the yarn kept twisting so I had to stop frequently to untangle it. I think as well my stitches were too tight so found it difficult to work fluently. Saying all that I am delighted with the outcome and will definitely purchase another kit. As a beginner, I really enjoyed the challenge of making this bag. I had only done granny squares before, so this was something really different. I was worried in the beginning that it was going to be too hard for me when I opened the kit, but the tutorials are so well done and the explanations so clear that I just followed along exactly and it all worked out in the end. Nice packaging, the videos threw me for a loop until I figured out I needed to view them in order as they provided direction for the throw and a pillow. Once I figured this out, the directions were very helpful. I only wish I would have ordered the larger one as I really like the final product. Everything was contained in the package, but I did end up using my own crochet hook as it was easier on the hands. The yarn was soft and easy to crochet with and did not unravel as some other products...

I love the quality of the product. I wish you had two sets of instructions, one for beginners, and one for more experienced crocheters. I am fairly advanced, and the instructions are definitely more for beginners. Not to say that this is an easy project. I found working with the yarn a bit challenging at first, but I've worked with rafia before, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I have never been able to crochet from a pattern - I can do the stitches, but can’t understand the pattern and get confused about where the hook goes.
