Even though I have put this down as easy, it remains one of the most effective tricks I have ever encountered. It is SO simple, yet I say to everyone, "Watch I am going to do the impossible". And that REALLY IS how it comes across. I've used BTC rope for 15 years plus. Dany Baronian is also a friend of mine but that is not why I use his rope. It really is the best that money can buy. I prefer rope with a centre core but any BTC rope is fabulous to use. The fact that it is available in extremely long lengths is also a big plus, a hank of rope is gone within 3 or 4 performances of cut and restored which for me makes buying longer reels of rope a no brainer. This is a great effect which can be repeated and have a different outcome. It is fairly easy to accomplish and there is no sleight of hand at all. Sadly my Astor Mental Stage version had a fault when delivered, Asor had neglected to remove the membrane protective cover from the plexiglass during manufacture. This is a beautifully made little item, with a solid feel to it. I love the way that close up spectators can join in with this by pulling the strings.
