Side note: the packaging was heavily damaged by DHL or customs and marked as “repackaged” and heavily taped. Everything inside was still in pristine condition!

The weapon as a whole is as beautiful as I'd hoped. Everything from the pommel of the sword to the tip of the sheath is amazing! The weapon slides beautifully from within the scabbard.
However, the runes on the scabbard are not the same as in the picture on the site. They are painted on, and white lettering on black rather than black runes on white. There's also no silver decoration on either side of the runes.

This version of Yamato is by far the best version I have seen and owned it is lightweight yet durable, now razor sharp but still very strong, it retains its edge no matter what I put it through, wood, wire, bone, aluminium, plaster and more!
If you do buy blades from HS make sure you pay the extra and get the SKD11 steel it is well worth the extra money and time it takes to forge such an incredible blade you will not be disappointed

Honestly the best feeling hatchet/axe I've ever had. This is my first purchase from here, and I went with the "basic" 88.00 sword. It looks amazing, the weight is good, as to the sword itself, I have zero complaints.
There was some corrosion on one side of the sheath, but with the way I display my swords, it isn't a huge issue for me.
Some swords found on this site (such as this one), are hundreds more on other sites, or don't even seem to exist in steel.

The sword came relatively quick but there were some minor flaws. The handle was a little separated so I wouldn't recommend swinging it. Luckily, mine is for display purposes. Other than the minor handle issue the blade came out great. Wish it was sharp upon receiving it but its nothing the wet stone can't fix. Solid 8/10 piece.
