My initial impressions: perfect packaging, heavy duty, excellent quality, fun feedback, challenging "hostage taker" smaller target.
My family and I have enjoyed pounding on this target with 9mm and .22 pistols at 24 yards. It also functioned perfectly with .22 and 5.56 rifles at 100 yards. When repainted clean and bright, it is a challenging 100 yard 9mm pistol target. The feedback "ping" is rewarding!

As the driver of a small SUV, most target stands are just too bulky. The use of rebar for this stand makes for a much more compact stand. I cut the rebar for the legs and crossbars to the same length, and this allows me to place the upper upside down on the ground, lay the legs across the brackets, and then strap it together in a very compact package (See pic). So good I bought two!

I am comparing the Highwild target stands to the metal adjustable target stands that I own.
The Highwild stands are easier to transport. I am able to put 3 to 4 stands in one 5 gallon bucket. I can put the ferring strips required for the base in one 5 gallon bucket. For paper targets I put one set upside down on the top off my target stand. The pictures are on a windy day with around 20 mph gusts. Tried it out for the first time today. After around 300 rounds of 22 and 30 rounds of 9 mm, the target held up fine. Some mentioned with heavier calibers all the targets would flip every time you hit one. True, but some small strips of foam weatherstripping where the targets meet the stand fixed that. I'm impressed with the quality. Lots of fun.

Built my dueling tree this week and took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather to hit the range.

Target held up great with the exception of those sneaky AP rounds hidding amongst my practice ammo. The T post / 2x4 combo mount works perfectly. I used it on a T post. The swinging plates moved freely when struck and the powder coating was good. The durability of the Target was awesome. It was shot with 9mm, 45 acp and 10 mm with no problems, at close range. I finally got out to shoot and these targets did not disappoint! I only have shot it with 9mm from about 7-10 yards and 12 ga from 10-12 yards but it kept knocking them down because I didn’t bring anything to weigh them down or stake them in! I am sure the targets will last for years to come!

Quality plates, no dents after around 200 9mm rounds at 10-25 yards. Only pet peeve is that the smaller plates (4”) like to do front flips when you shoot them. This twists the chains and puts off the target. Luckily it’s rare for it to happen. Would like to see a version with solid rods for hanging the plates. Still gave it 5 stars because it’s exactly what I purchased and holds up great.

Very stable for any caliber. Bought a 2x4 for a few bucks and cut 2 ft legs. Don’t even need to attach them. Very secure just popping them in and out which is great since I bring my targets to the range every time. If you need a portable target solution this is perfect!

This target is really amazing. I couldn't say that before i tried it.
The 2 colors in contrast where your bullets hit allow you to see the impact directly through your scope and there's nothing like that when you are alone and you only want to focus on your aim and ballistic performance. I admit i wouldn't want to shot to any other target but this one. The only thing i hope Highwild will improve is to allow some kind of custom color set.

Built a tree with 3 paddle sets and a 2x4 base assembly. I'll be buying another base and paddle set to wind up with two smaller trees that are easier to haul out. As pictured it's cumbersome to move around. The tree itself pulls out of the base and it all fits in the back of my SUV nicely but 3 paddle sets is just a bit too heavy to maneuver around

Shot with 300 Blackout 125g and 147g and 200g sub at 25 yard, held up good with minimum pitting. I bought 2 of these targets, the other was shot with AP5, G19 and 1911 45acp and only knock powder coat off with no pitting. For the price this Steel can't be bet, will be buying more in the future! This trap performed better than expected. I use a .25 caliber air gun that shoots at 900 fps. I am shooting approx. 25 yards away and have no issues. This thing is tough enough for the job. I added the cardboard section to the center to hold my targets for 2 reasons. The clip at the top does not keep paper targets from shifting in the wind and the bullets break apart when they hit the back of the trap and pieces come forward and tear the paper. I purchased 2x10’ 3/4” steel pipe @$22 total at Ace hardware. I had them cut it into 4x4’ sections for legs and cut a scrap 2x4 4’ long for cross-member. I hung my already owned 9” plate and new 3” AR500 plates using rubber bungee cords. It worked excellent for sighting in my new Tx3 223 at 100 yards! I love shooting steel targets, but the safest minimum distance is about 30 feet. Because of this, I added a paper target to the range setup. Even with huge wind gusts and hitting it with 5.56 rounds, it never got knocked over, and I didn’t even have to stake it down. Lowe’s is just down the road, and the 1x2s are super affordable. This stand is well-made and a must-have for any range setup.

Awesome target! I mounted it to two pieces of 4x4 about 2 feet in length. I set it originally at 20 yards for 9mm plinking and it worked flawlessly! Took it out 100 yards for the 5.56 and again it operated perfectly. I used 77 grain open tip ammo and the steel seemed to not dent at all other than the orange paint coming off.

I think this is the best reactive target you can buy. It resets by gravity. Other reactive targets have to be hit perfectly in order to move/reset or risk getting stuck halfway. No dents with 9mm whatsoever.

This is a lot of fun. Very sturdy and well built. It has now had over 500 rounds and no issues. When sitting flat, it is already at an nice angle. If put on a hill, then the tilt angle is enhanced and target arms are harder to swing around. This makes it necessary to shot the outer half of the target to it to flip to the other side (we were using 9mm). Highly recommend this dueling tree.

Great system and very good prices. Just had to cut some 2x4s and 1x2s. Very easy to set up. Cut one 2x4 at 4ft and one at 5ft for the steel targets. Base 2x4s are 16 inches. 1x2s are 5ft for the paper targets. Highly recommend.
