The increase in power of the Loco elongated is noticeable over the J7NF and the control at the kitchen inspires confidence. The grit allows for more shape on serves, drives and dinks. Overall the power is going to take a little getting used to but I have only played with it once.

I purchased the widebody to get a little extra on my drives and volleys at the kitchen and not at all disappointed it indeed accomplished that objective. One of my concerns since I was exclusively using "control" paddles was losing the control portion of my game but I believe it was the opposite the extra power and pop make it easier to control since you can give it less juice but it does take a little getting used to so try to get some practice in with your partner. Overall I love this paddle.

This paddle is a beast. It is a solid all around paddle with no weaknesses I can find. Its best attribute is has is its speed at the net and control even when I speed up. Mid court shots with pace seem to gain top spin with ease. I attribute this to the paddle surface materials. It instantly improved my game. Recommended. The paddles have great pop, solid spin, and feel very controlled on drops and resets. They’re lightweight, easy to maneuver, and offer a nice balance of power and touch. Overall though, performance-wise the paddles are impressive and worth recommending. Not paddle related: I only received one (1) water bottle sleeve, even though I bought four (4) paddles. I was hesitant to try since I've only used elongated paddles til now..but gave the Fat Boy a try because of the cool graphics, colorway and kevlar face. It took a few games to adjust my drives, since it doesn't hit as hard as the Shogun or Filth. However, I noticed it improved my defense a lot with the bigger sweetspot and enough umph to return smashes and drives. This paddle has altered my perception of standard shape paddles. I have two Filth's and after I week playing with the Shogun, I like it more. I have seen a few YouTubers say the Shogun hits similar to the Filth but I think the Shogun is more solid in the core & sweet spot. I serve better and it generally feels better than the Filth. Overall a great paddle. I did change the grip to black.

Absolutely love the Invader!!! Easy transition from the Loco (which I also absolutely love) and I can’t say enough good things about the experience I’ve had with Bread and Butter overall as a company! Bread and Butter has phenomenal customer service and create some of the best paddles I’ve ever laid my hands on (and I have over 35+) paddles played with and collected. Another great paddle from my favorite pickleball company! This is my third paddle (Filth, Loco, Shogun) and has quickly become my favorite. Even though I own the Loco as well, it never felt quite as good as the Filth, which has remained my go to paddle…until the Shogun! It has the same pop as the Filth, but also has the elevated control which has just made it feel so good to play with. Just what the doctor ordered! I love my power paddle, and I love my control paddle. I dreamed of having something that did both...had good control, a soft touch, AND also had a decent amount of pop on my attacks. This has both - I especially appreciate the easy spin I can put on. My topspin drives are SO much easier, same for my top spin and slice dinks. So far so awesome! I did add a little lead tape to the sides because the one I test drove was weighted.

I’ve played with the bread and butter shotgun now for a year. It’s been a great paddle, but I wanted to try the new foam core Loco. I have played about 10 games with it now.
