Absolutely an amazing paddle! So well-balanced for an elongated shape. It has a loud, satisfying “knock” — deeper in tone than any other paddle I own. The grit is incredible and perfectly complements the power, giving it the spin needed to make those drives dip just right. As a kid I was always a sucker for the presentation of a product and Bread&Butter really knocks it out of the park with the Shogun! I’ve been playing three or four months now and hit the point where a paddle upgrade seemed right. I was down many a rabbit hole researching until I found the Drip model and to make it even better, it’s designed after my favourite band! Double win for me as it’s performed incredibly well. The Loco is certainly a bread and butter part of my game. plenty of pop, and spin, and great control. Love it. I believe I'm a 4.0 ish player with higher ambitions. Coming from a B&B Invader (which is hybrid shape) and before that a VP Prism Flash (also hybrid) I got the black elongated Loco and I really love it! It didn't take long to adjust to the slightly higher sweet spot and the paddle just feels very good from baseline/mid court. Like any elongated it's a little head heavy at the kitchen, but overall the paddle feels light and choking up my grip a bit solves that. At the crossroads of value and quality you will find this filthy animal. I've been gaming a Selkirk Power Air and 003 but caught the thermoformed bug.
