Customer photo review of HEDDphone
Richard M.
The Heddphones are listed at 718 g. I actually dismissed it initially because I thought they were too heavy. But the weight distribution across the head combined with a moderate clamping force makes them tolerable. They kind of feel like Audeze LCD 2’s on my head. The pads are very deep and soft yet don’t make my skin sweat as much as other leather pads; perhaps because they’re quite open. I use thin framed glasses and there’s no problem with getting a seal. In fact, the seal is so good, t...

I've had these for a month now. I've been in love with them from the moment I pressed play on my Walkman. I'll give a slight edge to the overall fit to the Mega 5EST's. I loved the Megas, but these Meteors solved every complaint I had with them. Such a massive sound compared to those. The sub bass is incredible. Drums are impactful without needing EQ. Extremely detailed, without being harsh. I listen to these for hours without any fatigue. Mids aren't as forward as the Megas, but are in no way m...

Love these. I’ve never had a headphone like this before and am coming from wireless ANC, and these absolutely blew my mind. I also have to say that headphones.com was fantastic. The D1 was delayed, and they were incredible throughout the entire process. They reached out every week, answered all my questions, and kept me updated while the shipment was stuck in customs. When they finally shipped, they even contacted me directly to make sure everything arrived and that I was happy. Front to back ...

I was in search of a specific product and Headphones.com came through. I was able to find my product with relative ease. The product description page was accurate and provided relevant information. The IEMs I was searching were on sale, amazing deal! The Sony IER-M7 are relatively difficult to find brand new. I'm super happy with this purchase. The Sony IER-M7 are one of many IEMs that I own. The Sony IER-M7 have a smooth, balanced sound, nice calm bass. I prefer reference, not too bassy or V-sh...

Hands down the best wireless headphones on the market. Build quality is good and not some cheap thing that’s going to break easy and almost feels like metal. Sound is amazing out of the box but I like the simple bass boost function. ANC is strong when set to 100% and the transparency is good if you want to hear your voice when gaming. The latency is not noticeable at all in the slightest when in low latency mode. Use the PC dongle app if using on PC and the Mac version if you have a Mac. Also...

I'm loving my new Poly! It worked and looked exactly as I had hoped, even though it was an "open box" deal. The price was great! It looks and acts new to me, so I'm really appreciating the great deal, customer service, and shipping.

Customer photo review of FiiO BTR11 Portable DAC and Headphone Amp
Sean G.
A small and convenient DAC that effectively turns your wired headphones into wireless. Sound quality is solid. Build quality is fine. And for added convenience there is a built in microphone so you can do things like take calls if listening on your phone. I pair this with my truth ear zero reds as a daily set up for use at work and the gym. Battery life is very long but note. I mostly listen to everything at a med to low volume, so your mileage may vary a lot from mine. All and all. At this pric...

Customer photo review of Meze Audio 99 Classics V2 Headphones
Joseph G.
My first Meze, so I had somewhat high expectations of quality and they were met. Comfort is great, my fat head fits just barely. The sound is good, if a bit spicy on the treble for my taste. This surprised me because the Edition XS doesn't bother me at all. The paper towel method fixed that though. The foam disk, while changing the sound in a way I also liked, made the space in the ear pad too small for my ears.

I really like how this cartridge sounds; it’s perfect for the type of music I listen to, especially Latin jazz and salsa. My experience with the store was good overall. The delivery took a bit longer than expected, but I believe the Christmas season had a lot to do with that. That said, it was definitely the best price on the market.

This is my second pair of Sennheiser IEMs. I have the IEM 600 and decided to upgrade to IEM 900. Both are great IEMs. I love the compact size and the detail that I get from both. However, after listening to the IEM 900, this has become my favorite of the two given the music that I like, which is folk and indie. I can't really describe why I exactly like the 900 more than my 600, perhaps it is the resolution, but there is noticeable difference. I got the 900 as an open box sale and it came i...

The HiFiMan Edition XV headphones are truly a treat! You get the HiFiMan Technicality with a warm and smooth delivery. Bass is deep and smooth and mids are extremely full. Separation and imaging on these cans is also top notch. The XV takes eq with absolute ease but can sound just as stunning on its own! As for Comfort for me; with a mid-sized head, also superb!

Love the Clear OG. At first was not totally impressed compared to Meze 109 Pro since its natural and analytical tuning, but with some V shape EQ, this headphone slams.

The HEDDphone 2 has been a joy to listen to! Very different experience being that it’s an AMT driver. The top end is smooth and never shouty, mid range is crystal clear and extremely intimate. Probably the most intimate headphone I’ve heard so far. Low end is lacking, but it doesn’t bother me personally. If I wanted more bass, I would just listen to a different headphone. But in terms of technicalities, this headphone is very impressive. What strikes me the most is the instrument separation. Bui...

Was super excited to see this available as an open box deal. It arrived and even had the plastic protector over the display. All the parts were included. Unit sounds amazing. Very happy, and it pairs amazing with my RME ADI-2 DAC FS. Enjoy the photo of my jank (temporary) maximized airflow setup using handy cardboard risers. This thing is a beast and needs space to breathe.

The order took a while to ship, which is understandable considering the delay from the factory. The Focal Clear headphones are great, I cycled through several EQ profiles for them in EQ APO but in the end decided to use them with stock settings. Its certainly better at imaging/positioning than my previous low-end pairs, its very clear and resolving, quite narrow/medium soundstage, the fit is good though quite a bit heavier than what I had before. Surprisingly it doesnt sweat up my head that much...

My favorite iem for all genres of music. I can listen to all instruments very balanced and separeted, as I can hear some heft on the base. There is some distortion on some track's peek high frequencies but I can sacrifice that for an awesome overall performance. 8.5 out of 10 for me.

If I had to get rid of all my headphones and keep only one thing it would be the Oracle Mkiii. I bought it for the technicalities and was not disappointed—really impressive staging and imaging that can handle anything I throw at it and stay coherent. It’s on par with all my big cans. I never feel like I’m trading what over ear open back headphones could give me in exchange for portability. It handles even the most congested, complicated arrangements with such class, and it’s fun too. Stock tun...

Overall, a great pair of IEMs. I'm very satisfied and the best way I could describe the experience with them is crisp and clear yet warm when it has to be. Tuning is really high quality and can't complain at this price point. They're not good just for the price point, they're good. Plainly. They can handle a wide array of genres and would be my go-to for whatever mood I'm in. Also, I did want to point out that they came out with shortwide eartips which I believe were not previously included i...

Customer photo review of Bowers & Wilkins PX8 Wireless ANC Headphones+1

** summary / tl;dr ** This is very good value for the money – sound aside which I think it excels at, its material physical construction and build is impeccable. It’s high quality, luxurious, and feels very durable. The app is ok (there is actually a very simple EQ – a simple +/- dB in Treble axis and Bass axis). I recall battery firmware was a bit weird prior to doing an update some time ago. Did I say it sounds great? And it does this while being wireless. In my evaluation, headphone comfort i...

Please read all🙂🙂🙂 The best closed back headphones I ever owned I've owned the focal bathys, Sennheiser momentum 4. Instrument separation is great. When you're on amp/ dac. As for Bluetooth, some songs may sound different but have them wired. They sound right and they sound better. They are loud punchy and have so much detail. I did not think the 14.5 mm planar driver was going to do anything significant and it's partially true. It's integrated with the music so well but you could hear that inst...

Alan, the sales specialist who helped me with the Burson Soloist 3X Performance open Box also recommend the Topping DAC to pair with the Burson Soloist. I received the Topping D70 Pro Sabre open box and immediately started testing it out. The D70 arrived when promised, was well packaged, had no discernible blemishes or apparent defects. Couldn't be happier with the KEF LSX II LT speakers! The setup was quick, easy, and painless connecting them to my PC or using the app to play music from my phone via bluetooth. Limited cables round out their clean looks, and they have been amazing for music and gaming.

Great headphones. Sound is spacious and easy on the ears (I am on my early 60's). This is my first pair of Planar Magnetic headphones and I am really liking it. They make you want to listen to all your favorites songs and instrumental pieces. I have been changing and upgrading my 2-channel speaker system, since 2011. I think I have finally reached the upgrade end for that system. I wanted to get back into headphones like I did back in the late 70's when I was a teenager. I had the Koss Pro4AAA ...

I have 4 of these in a near field desktop setup for gaming/movies/atmos music and they perform excellently, but that is not a common use case(my plan is to move to a new house and set them up in a larger office). I also have 2 of these setup next to a TV since my soundbar setup is not ideal for listening to music. There it's paired with a Wiim amp pro for about 120W of power and in that medium sized room I rarely have to go beyond 50% volume. They have more bass extension than your average boo...

This was the final piece to the puzzle of creating my endgame headfi system. Ive been buying gear since 2021, slowly building my headphone collection. First of all amazing service as always. When there was a delay in receiving them, the guys emailed to let me know. Then, when they shipped, they got out here in 48hrs - Bezos has nothing on headphones.com! As for the XO themselves? Meet The Empyreanator. More comfortable, tons more detail, faster, good bass and weight; the only thing I can think the Meze did better was more grandiose staging (they could make indie rock sound symphonic!). In every other regard I'm happier with these after 2 d...

Two years ago, I was shopping for headphones and narrowed my options to Arya Stealth Edition vs Audeze LCD X. I gambled that Arya SE would see a price drop if a new revision released, so I bought the LCD X. Now, that gamble has paid off, albeit somewhat pointlessly. Listening to both headphones now, I can’t find anything with the LCD X that I prefer over Arya SE sonically. The main difference maker for is soundstage and imaging. Arya SE has a much wider soundstage with great imaging and instrume...

I’ve listened to and enjoyed several significantly more expensive bass oriented IEMs in the past few years. 64 Audio Nio and Tia Trio, Campfire Audio Solaris, Empire Ears Legend X and Legend EVO, Meze Rai Penta, THIEAUDIO Clairvoyance, Excalibur, Oracle, Monarch Mk1 and Mk3. I would take the Hype 4 over *all* of them. The Hype 4 and Monarch Mk3 have pretty much identical tuning to my ears. However I don’t think the Hype 4 is a mini Monarch Mk3. I think the Hype 4 is a *fun* Monarch Mk3 at an i...

Before getting into this mini review, I just want to say thanks once again Headphones.com team, for giving me a BRAND NEW SEALED Raven V2 LE for the open box price. Thank you so much! I really really really am grateful for this. Moving on... These are very underrated IEMs in my opinion. First of all, that bass is soooo crazy. I had some trouble getting my VolumeS IEMs, but as usual the headphones.com team was amazing and got things sorted right away. The team is really top-notch when it comes to customer support. As for the Softears VolumeS, they are a great set of IEMs. All they hype, I've read and seen on YouTube is deserved. They are a small, comfortable, nicely built set with great tonality and timbre. I did a lot of research before making the decision to purchase the Conductor 3X GT. I had a topping stack consisting of an A70 and a D70 Pro. While these were good for a while, I still felt like I was missing something in the music. Once I decided on the Burson and got a chance to listen to it, there was no going back. I am listening to all my music all over again. The details, the resolution, and the soundstage are ten times better than the topping. Especially with my Audeze LCD-5s, it ma...

I demoed the E3’s at canJam & and it was a magical euphoric auditory, experience. The hype is REAL! The E3’s are end game, for me. The clarity is insane without being too bright. I’m overly sensitive to brightness so it eliminates a lot of cans. The bass is very deep, well defined and clean with a rich gorgeous mids. The sound stage is huge and the imaging is next level. These cans have made me tear up several times already. That has only happened to me at live shows or from my stereo system s...

Purchased this for my couch setup and pairing with a Topping DX5 II DAC/AMP, very pleased with the result. Incredible headphones. They sound so much better than I remembered. The first time I auditioned was years ago. It didn’t wow me then, but I have no doubt it was because of my music tastes changing. This headphone is incredible with rock, jazz, rap (with eq), and is comfortable. The price is fantastic for this headphone. It truly sounds more like a $1300 headphone.
