Had trouble finding this hinge in my local hardware stores. Checked online with Pease and was able to order direct. I was slightly concerned that the hinge may not fit and I would have to return. The old hinges had been painted white and the knobs were brass. All the hardware throughout this remodel were changed to oil rubbed bronze. I wanted this door to match the rest of the house with the new hinges and door sweeps I bought through Pease. I love this finished look.

Excellent fit and build quality! This is the 2nd slab I have purchased for my neighbors to replace worn out steel doors. Both have commented on how much better the fiberglass door works and how their entry is no longer cold in the winter due to poor sealing of the old doors. What a difference this has made for this front door! The drafts have stopped, with the realization that the summer a/c cool air, and the winter's furnace heating won't be lost through the gaps in the door frame anymore. Should have done this years ago.

While replacing the plastic cracked window trim on the exterior steel door with wood trim, I figured after sanding and repainting my 35 year old door, my as well replace the bottom seal. l went on line and Pease had exactly what I needed to complete my project. Completely satisfied with the results of this project. Pease door stained and wood grain effects with polyurethane sealer matte finish. Confusing suggestions on preping the plastic grills for the side lights. One instruction suggested a primer and the other said it wasn’t necessary? Opted to go with out, but maybe it would have been better to prime. Had to double stain the pieces because it was slick surface and easy to wipe off the stain when dragging the wood grain tools.
