I use a CPAP nasal pillow and need to tape my mouth shut to prevent air coming out of my mouth while I sleep. Up to this point I'd been using surgical tape which never worked great since I have a beard and it wouldn't provide a tight seal and was very painful to remove in the morning. I have purchased mouth tape from several different companies trying to find one made in USA that doesn’t tear my skin off, leave me broke out or leave adhesive all over my face. Hostage tape FOR WOMEN is the best one I’ve found. No sticking tape to my face, gentle and comfortable to wear and does not cause me to break out. I first bought hostage tape about a year ago and at first I didn't use it regularly. I wasn't really sure about it. I recently went back to it the last month or two and it's been a game changer. I sleep with a nasal CPAP and the air tends to escape my mouth and my wife hears it and wakes her up and wakes me up as well. I've tried other mouth tapes and these stick far better. Particularly with stubble or whiskers. They are light and breathable and have much more agreeable adhesion and flex. I am familiar with the ideas behind mouth taping for better sleep and health. The "hostage" idea of your product is tremendous for marketing but you could really help your cause if your message contained the idea that the tape is a subtle reminder for your mouth to stay closed and not a gag. I like the flexibility of the tape; I don’t have to rip my lips off when removing it in the morning. I am already benefitting by my mouth not being as dry. I still need to us the XyliMelts to create more saliva, but now they last all night even into the morning. Breathing through my nose is huge! My nose isn’t as dry. Overall sleep is better! I have been using the hostage tape for a month or so. I like the size as it allows plenty of room to cover my lips and it sticks very good but is still not that difficult to remove. You can definitely breathe through them. It can leave a very small bit of black from the tape on occasion but with a little soap it is easy to remove. I have tried two other brands and both had similarly disappointing results. They were either too tight or too snall and i hated the plastic. Hostage tape was a last ditch effort for me.
