I struggled w the upper section. Some areas I think I assembled/disassembled /reassembled several times. So swore that when I was finished it would work... The individual components seemed to be fine but, no luck. It winds but the initial fear just won't move. It looks great. Directions were OK but pictures were not clear. Videos would have been helpful.

I thought this would be a good compromise as it actually shoots wooden bullets. He hasn’t finished it but so far so good. I've done 3D puzzles in the past that were meant to be assembled and then taken apart over and over, but I'd consider this more of a model than a puzzle. While it's possible to disassemble it, it would take some careful effort and won't go back together as tightly.

Be patient and gentle when seperating the pieces from the boards, especially the sails. You shouldn't have to use much pressure to connect the pieces. If you do, you've probably got them backward. Flip them around and try again.

These 3D gun puzzles are the best!! So much fun!! They are a good type of challenge to put together. The wood sheets have the pieces you need to push out and assemble. You do need to sand the pieces down because it is raw wood. but it doesn’t take terribly long to put together. Maybe a few hours to get it perfectly done.
