Hold up, let me brag about Jade for a sec! She's crushing this whole talking button thing! 💪 We started with just three buttons on 2/6/23 - potty, Jade, and the ever-exciting peanut butter surprise (PBS). It was our sneaky way of giving the girls their meds. 😉 Next thing we knew, she was rocking that PBS button like it was her job! I had to teach her the 'all done' and 'later' buttons real quick. But honestly? She loved it! She went from spamming buttons left and right to putting together full ...

My 6 month old puppy has so much fun telling us what he wants. He consitently pushes the Go Potty button and the Play button! I am excited to add more and more words!

I am using Fluent Pet with 4 dogs. The GSD is quite adept at smacking the buttons, the others are less enthusiastic but do so. So far none understand why they are pushing a button, but they know Mom is really happy when they do. This early in the game it is better to address the product. It's nicely made, has good sound, delivered on time and the staff is very good to work with. I have only positive things to say. I started with a larger kit and may have to shrink my approach of having so man...

My cat is over the moon with the buttons and will not stop pressing them! Had to install an “all done” button which she used promptly to ask me to stop talking when yakking on the phone. The dog is very interested and intrigued and wants to participate. The other cats are interested too. I had to buy more buttons after a week. The first cat to use them laid beside them for days like they were gold! Super cute.

I have the Connect buttons and love that I can see a running feed of what Ruby presses. She's quite talkative, and regularly presses while we're out of the house. I have our buttons mounted on a board that leans against the wall because we don't have the floor space, and it works really well for her. I'll be ordering our next set of 12 buttons shortly!

My cats, Salem and Styx, love the buttons! They spend most of their time near them and it took around 5 days for them to push the button consciously for the first time! We’ll keep learning and see how it’ll work out!

I love my dog’s buttons! They work really well and I’ve had no issues so far. There was a bit of a learning curve with setting them up, but the instructions and app are clear and it’s been so much fun. It’s lovely hearing what my dog wants and I can’t wait to grow his repertoire!

I finally opened up my tester kit and programmed the two buttons I have. My cat seems very interested but obviously needs more time. I can't wait to get more butons!

I can't recommend FluentPet enough! Since I started using it with my dog, Sullivan, our bond has deepened in ways I never imagined. The system is so intuitive, and it's amazing to see Sully express his wants and needs clearly. Whether it's asking for a walk, playtime, or just to go outside, he's able to communicate with me in such a direct way. It's been so rewarding to witness this growth in our relationship, and it feels like I truly understand him now. FluentPet has taken our connection to a ...

My corgi topped out at 6 buttons (she’s 10). My golden puppy is at 24 and counting. He loves putting words together to make new words (water walk = let’s walk on the beach) and telling my teen son that he’s a “good dog.”

It took a few months with some accidental presses before the my kitten started using the button intentionally. Now he's using 3 buttons (play, outside, and eat). He seems to know what they mean and use them accordingly. He is seeming more cuddly and connected now, though very demanding at times. He definitely really likes the buttons and will lay across them a lot. The other cat is not really using them yet but hopefully one day. She seems to understand and wants to come along for the things he ...

Hazel has been using buttons successfully for almost a year. She is up to 32 button words, but uses 10-16 of them most frequently. The new edge pieces and Speak Up buttons are definitely nice additions to our set of communication tools. We really love being able to understand our pup’s wants and needs on a deeper level.

I actually purchased the starter kit previously but it was the original style buttons. I was trying them with my cat at the time and he wasn't interested. I have a puppy now and she is using them to ask to go outside to POTTY and also to play BALL and TUG. I have an original button and an improved button on my hexpad and I definitely like the new buttons better. The sound is louder and clearer. For the POTTY button I affixed it to our sliding door with Command Strips since she had previous ...

Treasure loved her buttons as a puppy! We started around 6 months old, and she learned super fast. She is 2 years old now and really only uses her buttons to say “want”, “outside,” or “oma” (grandma) on her own. Walks are her favorite but she doesn’t initiate asking for them, she just prefers to only use the buttons on the outside of the sideboard now. She answers questions though, she will hit “toy” or “play” if I ask her if that’s what she wants. I am hoping the louder buttons help her become ...

My learner Dublin has taken to the buttons well! The edge pieces are great to keep the board clean and looking nice. Lining up with the speaker on the connect portion is the only part that has been a bit odd. I just have them up to the first part of the connect and then bare on the rest around it which is working well for now.

My one year old kitty loves the buttons! When not using them he often lays on them. Now that he can ask for what he wants he rarely darts past us out the door or knocks over plants. He knows he can ask to go outside and to play all kinds of fun activities. He is expanding his vocabulary and is curious to try out new buttons. My 3 year old cat rarely uses them but when she does I can tell it's intentional because she pushes the buttons for her favorite things like "eat".

I have a golden retriever that is five months old. I grabbed her food bowl the other day to feed her and then I put it down for a minute to do something else, one of our buttons is the word eat, After a few minutes of me not feeding her I heard the button go off for eat and turned around and she was standing over it, and I was totally amazed. It was probably about two weeks into teaching her the eat button. My husband said he was busy the other day doing some thing around dinner time again and s...

These buttons have been so beneficial for our developing relationship. Darla is communicating so well with her buttons! She’s using 6 buttons with intention, but loves to request “play” and “out”. The other day she was playing with an ice cube that went under the ottoman. She used her buttons to communicate “help” and “out”. I expanded by modeling “you need help to get the ice out, but it’s melted and all done.” I’m ready to start to adding more to her repertoire and it’s very exciting. I star...

We've used the traditional FluentPet buttons as well as the Connect buttons, but we recently upgraded to all Connect buttons due to the sound quality and the ability to catalog Mumen's presses on the app. You can see a brief example of the app in this video as well as the sound quality the Connect buttons produce. The product is amazing and has gifted me with more insightful, engaging bonding time with Mumen. I like to think I can read his body language pretty well, but I never would've gues...

We are having so much fun with the buttons. We started with two, food and outside, because those are things Harley already requests and clearly communicates, so I figured it would be an easy transition. He uses both consistently when prompted and spontaneous when he’s highly motivated. As you can see, he’s got the food button figured out and has my mom figured out too!! I do not approve of the french fries but definitely could not say no to his request this time ;-)

Maisie took less than two weeks to catch on, And once she figured it out, she started going to the buttons instead of whining, barking, or acting out. When I introduced two new buttons, she immediately went and pressed each to see what they were and got the hang of them within a day. She is even pressing two button in a row, for example, “play” and “ball.” They only thing I would tell someone thinking about getting started is that once your pet find their voice, they will let it be heard…ALL T...

Dash is a talking tabby! He's got 24 buttons and counting and talks to me nonstop all day everyday lol its amazing to be able to communicate with him and warms my heart when he says things like "mom love you" or lets me know he wants to play (and what specific toy he wants to play with at that moment)! Huge fan of the small button size, easy recording and interlocking hextiles. Will be purchasing more to help Dash expand his vocabulary!!

Santa Paws brought Adam his first set of buttons for Christmas. He pressed his first button (treats) within the first day. He now has seven buttons, six of which he uses very consistently. We are absolutely thrilled with his progress! I have noticed that he seems a lot happier (He is an only cat) now that he can clearly express his wants and needs to us.😊😊😊 We are so glad that we decided to give this a try!

I have been amazed how easy it was to engage my 6 month-old puppy with buttons! Mac was already communicating with us and adding the words was another layer. Over 3 weeks we worked up to our first 12 words. The buttons are easy to record and the hextiles with the border kit are sturdy. We are a work in progress and enjoying the journey.

His 1st involuntary press was ‘Go Potty’ stepping on it by the door. His 1st deliberate press was ‘Water’ when he notified us his bowl as empty. I say ‘All Done’ and press the button when he sits to have his collar taken off when coming inside: one day - during a zoom call -l just opened the back door to his play pen and let him in, and went back to my call with out taking off his collar. He sat there looking up at me, then pressed “Go Potty” “All Done”. I apologized and took off his collar. H...

Yesterday, about a month after successfully hitting our first button, I had a bit of a dizzy spell due to sinusitis. I sat in front of the buttons and hit 'Pippin' 'help' 'mommy' as I was drinking water, taking deep breaths, and petting her. My significant other had been working at his computer and came over to make sure that I was okay. It was at that point that Pippin looked up at my significant other and said to him, unprovoked, with buttons, 'help' 'help' 'now!' I had to fight back tears. Th...

I’ve been eyeing these edge pieces to complete our button sound board & decided to finally get them on sale! My pup unfortunately would sometimes chew off the unfinished puzzle ends so having the smooth edge pieces prevent that from happening. I also find it’s much easier to vacuum around the sound board!

Nothing is more gratifying than seeing your hard work modelling pay off! My learner Louis & I started with 2 buttons then upgraded to 12 connect & now have expanded his vocabulary with 6 more connect buttons. It feels great giving him the option to communicate more specifically as we go on our journey.

I have two cats and one took to the buttons very quickly...of course using treats to help him learn to press was a great incentive. Now he is pushing lots of buttons and I had to buy more to add to the vocabulary. The other cat is very curious and although not treat driven I'm hoping he'll start pushing buttons on his own.

The edge pieces make the system look nice and they've somehow made the pieces less enticing to our 3 month old puppy to chew. Not sure why but maybe he just liked the tabs that stick out of the colored hex tiles.

We had practiced “push” with bells as we waited for our package to arrive. 5 minutes after introducing our 1st 3 buttons, he pushed “ball”. He was so pleased with himself! He knew exactly what he was doing!

I have two blue heelers. I introduced buttons to my puppy when she was 4 months old. She took to pressing "outside" within a day and "play" soon after. She acquires new words too quickly and were almost to 40 (she's 8 months old today). It's exciting to communicate with her, but I have to order new buttons so often! Haha My older girl is 9. She did take a couple months to start pressing buttons. She mostly just watched how I would model for the puppy. I did target train her in the beginning, bu...

Using the Fluent Pet program has been lots of fun…especially strategizing our starting words and placement of buttons. I love that you have so much info available to inform our journey. Even though Jeffy our cat likes to nap on the foam pads, he also has used the action, “outside” a few times to be taken outside within only a couple days of our modeling the buttons. “Outside” is highly motivating for him as an indoor cat! Our dog Pepper is a more timid learner so he’s taking a bit more time to...

My dog loves using his buttons. Some are single words and others are short phrases. He also combines up to three words to make a thought. One phrase he always uses wrong is “Ouch, that hurts”. He only hears me say that when he starts pawing my arm. I’m sure he thinks it means “Pay attention to me”. He often presses “Ice, please”. Who could ignore such manners?
