Our shades are perfect! They really block out the light good and are very beautiful. We have them set with the Alexa app to go up at sunrise and go down at sunset! She will also control them however I want during the day. I did not order the solar panel because a single charge lasts so long, but I think I will. Install was simple. The biggest issue I had was connectivity of the zigbee motor to my SmartThings hub. The blind is on a basement bedroom window and the hub is upstairs. What finally worked for me was to tape the antenna wires to the plastic end cap of the blind valance. I took the 2 antenna wires out different directions and taped then with clear scotch tape to the plastic holding them away from the metal front of the valance. It improved things tremendously. Purchased 9 shades to go all around a deck. Packaged well, no damage on arrival and delivered very fast. They forgot the extension brackets, were quickly shipped after contacting customer service. Install took two partial days of 2 people (husband & wife) and was straightforward for diy including use of extension brackets. Every shade was cut perfectly to the size ordered. We ordered a single, hard wired, 12 volt zebra blind as a test. Install and fit were fine. The fabric had a void in one if the horizontal bars. I inquired if this was a seam and if this was normal. They felt is was over stretched during manufacturing and offered to replace the fabric. They asked if they could include the replacement fabric with the main home order, which I was fine with. Beautiful shades and great smart Matter Motor for my Apple Home. If you are NOT a handy person with home projects, I recommend a professional install, especially for any shade that is wider than a typical 32" window. Shades need to be installed as level as possible or you will have issues. Sadly, window frame constructions are not as flat/level as you need for these shades to be inside window frame installed.
